Meet with housing counselors from HUD Certified Not-For-Profit Housing Agencies and other professionals for free advice on the following topics:

  • “I’m behind on my rent.” There may be grants available to help you pay your back rent.

  • “I’m behind on my mortgage and am in danger of foreclosure.” You may be able to get free professional help to negotiate with your bank.

  • “My Septic System is failing.” There may be grants available to help you get your septic system fixed.

  • “My house is old and I am afraid my children may be exposed to lead poisoning.” There may be grants that can help you pay to remediate lead paint.

In addition, we will have speakers covering the following topics, and professionals available to meet with you one on one afterwards:

  • Finding Affordable Rental Housing 5:45—6:15

  • I think I am facing Housing Discrimination; what can I do? 6:15—6:45

  • Homeownership? Is it for Me? 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

MOST GRANTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO HOUSEHOLDS THAT EARN LESS THAN 80% of Area Median Income; for septic grants income can be higher:

  • Household size 3 : $91,800

  • Household size 4 : $102,000

  • Household size 5 : $110,150

  • Household size 6 : $118,300
